Panzerblitz occurs as tactical-shell board wargame of tank, artillery, and infantry combat set in the Eastern Front of the Second World War. A map comes around many pieces to become set together for various scenarios. When a board edges come reciprocally compatible, a tierce sections may be positioned within 48 distinct arrangements. A game was originally published by Avalon Hill in 1970.
Lot of the strategy around Panzerblitz derives from either a rule leaving units to shoot or even move, but not two, around one turn. In addition, a difficulty of unlimited destruction of units encourages players to utilize combined arms rather than an overwhelming force of of these unit nature and severity to kill a opponent.
A rights to Panzerblitz come held by Multi-Human Publishing, which is, as of this writing, getting Panzerblitz II, however there exists plenty of interest in the classic version. Recently units & scenarios prove my point to come out inside such venues when A Boardgamer, VAIPA, & Old Soldiers magazine, primarily through the efforts of Alan Arvold.
Panzerblitz was followed by 2 companion games; a single known as Panzer Leader, which focused more on the Western Front rather than the Eastern Front, & a single known as The Arab-Israeli Wars which covered the 1956, 1967 & 1973 wars in the Middle East.
